Life after your MBA
Post Graduation Student Activities
Although nearly all business schools have an alumni organisation for past students, the range and intensity of activities between schools can be huge.
Typically, the larger, more popular and longer established schools are more active in this arena than smaller and newer institutions.
Many students cite the opportunity for long-term networking with fellow alumni as a major factor and benefit of doing an MBA.
The range of academic backgrounds and career diversification in future years of many students means that contacts can be made in an enormous amount of fields and industries.
TIP Find out about the alumni activities organised by your selected school. Ask the business school if you can contact a number of ex-students and gain their view.
TIP If your school does not have an active alumni organisation there are other bodies you can join for social and professional networking purposes such as AMBA or THE MBA GOLF CLUB.
