Doing the MBA Course
MBA's with Specialisations
Although the majority of MBA courses in the world are generalist in nature there are an increasing number that cover more elective subjects geared towards working within a particular field including:
Marketing Logistics Hotels & Tourism Human Resources Sports Industries Public Sector Banking & Finance Health & Medical Services Aerospace Agriculture Information Systems
TIP Many schools require the student to initially enrol into their generalist MBA and elect to specialise usually after the core modules have been studied.
This provides an opportunity for the student to defer his or her decision to specialise until a later date once more knowledge has been gained.
Check whether your preferred school operates in this manner, and if so, take advantage of it by keeping your options open for as long as possible.
